How You Can Get A Tan And Look Great

WE all love that tan because it helps to add radiance to the skin, reduce blemishes as well as helps the bright colors to stand out. However, getting a tan can be tricky because you need to keep in mind the harmful UV rays of the sun. Then again you will have to avoid orange colored clothes if you have a dark tan and you also need to consider the tan lines. Let us look at how you can get a tan easily

Choose your source of UV

If you want to get tanned by ultraviolet rays, then there is nothing better than the sun. If however, the sky is clouded or the weather does not allow exposure of skin then tanning beds can be very effective. These tanning beds can be used all year round no matter what the weather is. Bear some things in mind while using the tanning bed, let us look at them

Avoid too much exposure to UV rays on the tanning bed because beautiful skin can look like leather if you do that.

It is advisable to hydrate your skin because such a skin will tan more easily. Before you prepare to get yourself tanned do the following:

Exfoliate dead skin cells with the help of a loofah, a rough cloth or a scrubbing lotion. Use a moisturizer containing sodium PCA. This will naturally attract moisture from the air and help in keeping the skin healthy. Apply appropriate sunscreen meant for your skin. If your skin is light, you need to use a sunscreen with higher SPF of more than 15.

Things To Keep In Mind While Tanning Your Skin In The Sun

If you are planning to get a suntan, then it is advisable to take some precautions. A good sunscreen with an SPF factor according to the color of the skin is needed. Fair-skinned people are advised to use a sunscreen with SPF factor of more than 15. If sunscreen is not used during tanning in the sun the UV rays can harm your skin. It is also necessary to use a lip balm with sunscreen. It is advisable to apply the sunscreen in the shade and then wait for 20-25 minutes before going out in the sun. This will help the skin to soak up the sunscreen, and it will be more effective.

It is also necessary to reapply the sunscreen every 2 hours if you are going to be in the water. However, this is not necessary with waterproof sunscreen. If you notice that your skin is becoming red, then get out of the sunlight. This is because redness of the skin is a sign of sunburn. If you continue to remain in the sunlight, it will seriously damage your skin.

It is also advisable to wear the swimsuit that you plan to wear to show off your tan. Otherwise, you will get a patchwork of tan lines on your skin. In fact, if it is possible you should not wear any clothes at all when you are trying to get a tan. This will ensure that your whole body gets tanned uniformly.
